BELIEFS AND VALUES

  • The Death and Resurrection of Jesus: We believe in the true and historical death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe that Christ died in our place as an atoning sacrifice for our sin, and that in rising from the dead He defeated death forever.

  • The Word: We are devoted to the Word of God as the definitive source of truth and authority for our lives and believe in the biblical worldview.

  • The Spirit: We believe in the works of the Spirit, and desire to be filled with the Spirit, and seek the presence of God. We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are for the blessing of the church and the world.

  • The Trinity: We believe in one True God who exists eternally as three distinct persons:  The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit

  • Prayer: We desire for prayer to be central to our life as a community,  hearing God together, responding to his leading, and seeking his Kingdom.

  • Worship: We seek to live lives in worship to God as living sacrifices, through individual worship using our gifts for the glory of God and in corporate sung worship and meeting together.

  • Water Baptism: We believe that water baptism is a physical demonstration of a spiritual reality, following repentance as an act of obedience to Christ and commitment to his community

  • Grace: As a church community, and as individuals, we believe that our lives should be centred around the grace of God, and the forgiveness and reconciliation through the death and resurrection of Jesus.

  • Servant Leadership: As a church, we believe our leadership should be Godly elders serving as shepherds, caring for the community, acting in humility and with prayer, leading by example, preaching and teaching and upholding sound doctrine, equipping the saints.

  • Missional: As a community, we seek to play a part in the Great Commission, making disciples of all nations, and teaching people to obey Christ.
